Interesting, I'd be curious to try it and see how it feels.
Takes up a lot of rail real estate though, maybe a version with an integrated taclight would be nice. Who wants to start a pool on when we'll see an unlicensed Chinese clone pop up? :P

But it doesnt look cool!!!!!
oh btw guys, if you mount this thing at the same part or farther out than where your PEQ is mounted, it will actually make it easier for you to hold the weapon. by easier, I mean, you won't feel the weight of the PEQ because your upper exertional force is minimized. It's physics at it's best, Torque theory. It's extremely useful when using the PEQ as a battery box and it gets VERY front heavy. Last edited by Skladfin; December 1st, 2009 at 20:39.. |

Mhmm. Looks like a good design. I always found the way they hold their fore-grips in the Magpul Dynamics videos a little awkward.
I'd give this a shot.

What I find more interesting than the angled piece is how the pics promote the a more typical rifleman's supporting grip...stretched out down the foregrip vs. the hold that you see a lot of airsofters with (i.e. cupping the magwell/deltaring/etc..).
I fully expect to see a Nike logo or a Specialized Bodyflow-or-whatever logo on some of these parts soon. Promoting how their latest cheekrest prevents debilitating neck kinks while maximizing airflow in a desert environment. A little while ago I took all the stuff off my rifles to change up the forends...and got lazy and didn't put the "stuff" back on. Shot the next couple of CQB, CAPS and a Milsim with just iron sights and no vert grip (I like the little stubby one and do the thumb break grip when I use it)...it was refreshingly simple and "natural". Shock/horror...the other night I left a PTW upper "stock"...with the "old-fashioned" carry handle sight and front A sight...and played around like that. It was sooooo nice. What are all these fancy attachments and stuff for?....oh right, I forgot...$$$$$ to pimp your ride. So yeah, I'll cave and slap my micro T, magnifier, larue mounts, vert grip and tac light back on.... Soon I'll add a NV scope, and IR light to it and maybe a targeting lazzzerr.... Then I'll have lots of stuff to bang around and forget batteries for. (but damn it....I didn't spend $$$$ on this stuff not to use it!!) (I wish they'd come up with an attachment that would shoot backwards and nail the guy who keeps shooting me in the back when I'm not paying attention...) On that "Sword Analogy" slide, the way the guy is holding his AR...
looks like a good position for plinking but I wouldn't run an AR like that in combat |

That's exactly how you hold your rifle when doing instinctive shooting.... except you use your index finger to "point" where you want to shoot.
