KJW KP-05 + shiny = win!
Hey guys, i got a KJW Hicapa, and seeing as i had nothing better to do, i sanded the paint off the slide and gave it a brushed aluminum finish, its NOT a polish, its a finish similar to a Deloreans body
Also kryloned the clear grip black. what you think? |

That's going to tarnish pretty quick.

Looks good, but it's pot metal. It won't stay that way long. Air will react with it turning it darker and darker grey.

Broken or not, loaded or not, it doesn't matter. It's a matter of developing a habit and always handling a gun the same way - as if it was loaded. It's one of the basic safety rules and applies as much to air guns are real firearms. But you're still new. You'll learn eventually.

Looks good, I was going to mention the tarnish, but here's a nice idea. Take that top slide apart and have it chromed, leave the screws in so the holes don't fill in with chrome though.
I did this to my KJW P226. well the barrel at least, it adds a very thin layer, so your tolerances my be a bit too tight on the slide. If it's a tight fit you can dremel down the slide grooves a tiny bit before hand to make the difference of the chrome plate. cheers
