Question Wood kit

Hey, I'm trying to find the best place and or way to upgrade a kraken ak47. I had a tactical version before and sold it but I'm thinking of buying the od green version again. The only thing is that I want to buy a wood kit and maybe a metal body for it or at least find out the best way to paint the body. Do you guys have any suggestions? - devodka.

Just picked up the OD and clear kraken myself and looking to do the same.

As far as painting plastic (I have done it on paintball markers) the best method is a light sanding to make the paint stick more, and tape up the moving parts that are exposed (or remove the parts if you are comfortable with that) Then just use a flat black spray paint, I use krylon usually. Some people like a light clear coat also to keep the finish.

I am also curious as to any good wood kits for this also. I was looking at the wood kit on ebaybanned.com, has anybody used this one? Know if it is any good?

Get age verified and look through the classifieds or retailers and you'll find what you need.

I ain't 18 yet (69 days to go ) But I'm pretty sure it doesn't take 18 to order wood furnishing and a metal body

Well, it sorta does.

ASC has a Parts and other bits for Age verified people only, so... sorta stuck with that one.

Unless you find one on some other site, you're basically stuck waiting here. And metal bodies will probably get seized, keep that in mind
Or if you really wanted to, look up "The wood effect" It tells you how to paint your faux looking wood, into more real looking wood.
