Spring Compressor

I was just wondering, is there a tool like a spring compressor out there that I can purchase that would make installing springs on an AEG gear box much easier?

Don't have the muscles to do it the regular way?

No I haven't heard of anything like that. Just put it in with 2 hands (or 3 or 4 if you need an extra person)

Yeah, I could do it by hand no problem. I was just wondering if there's a tool so that it'll prevent it from launching the spring guide if it were to get loose while the gear box is open.

EDIT: Because they seem to have a spring compressor for every other type of job.

the use of a spring compressor to prevent it from flying away since you'll still have to remove the compressor to close the box.

I use a screwdriver and just hold the spring guide down in place with one hand while lining up the other half of the box.

I use long allen keys (the type that fit into a handle) to do it, a screw driver works too.

I can't believe some of the questions you ask of us DVD, baffles me bigtime! Lol

I was just wondering, cause they seem to have a spring compressor tool for almost every other job out there.

BTW, I used a screwdriver and it makes it much easier to install the spring. Thanks for the tip!

I screw in the stock screw that goes into the spring guide and use that to hold down the spring guide and spring, much easier that a screw driver and you can spin the guide to lign it up as you close the mechbox with the other hand.

What screw are you talking about? My spring guide never came with any screw.

A spring compressor for engines valve springs exist, actually. I'm not sure it would work, since i never tried that tool on a Airsoft gun, but who knows. Maybe somebody have tried it and it works!
