Marui M4A1 New Type mags and battery
Just wondering what batteries and magazines are compatible with the M4A1. Looking for high cap mags, and the best battery i can get for it.
BTW I'll be ordering off A&A Airsoft. http://www.aasurplus.ca/airsoft/ Thanks for the help. Just want to make sure I don't buy anything I can't use. |

Pretty much any popular brand of M16/M4 mags will work with that gun.

You can run a stock M4A1 fine with an 8.4v 600mAh mini battery pack.
Almost all armalite mags can fit Marui's, since all other guns are clones of Marui's original design. |

The best battery would be Intellect 8,4V Mini 1400mah or a 1200mah.

I rock with a mini 8.4v 1200 mAH, and my m4 has worked fine, never had an issue. Its essentially a bone stock internally and Ive never had issues with it using that batt.

but the 1400mah doesn't fit in Marui foregrip without a slight mod. For the 1200mah I have, I have to somewhat fit the battery diagonally into the grip battery space. |

The 2 battery packs I mentionned are the same size and they fit normally in the foregrip. |

Which battery is better? the 1400 or the 1200? The 1400 sounds better to me, but I don't know the first thing to batteries, and I've heard other people talk about 600's and stuff...

I run a 9.6 volt 1200 mAh Sanyo NiCad "butterfly" pack in my M4's with no issues. Both guns are mildly upgraded (CA piston head, Guarder cylinder head, King Arms M100 spring, metal bushings) and have very nice ROF with no issues.

The mAh (milliampere-hour) is basically how much energy the battery can stock. So 1400 is "better" than 1200, but 1200 is probably more than enough for a stock or mildy upgraded AEG like Skruface and TokyoSeven mentionned.

http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...4V%20Batteries read the discription just because they are both "Mini", it just means that the batteries are made out of 2/3A batteries. And 2/3A Batteries sizes can differ in very small amounts, but builds up in numbers. Also, there's the little black thing connecting the battery to the cord, that things takes up some space as well(they don't have that on the Sanyo batteries) Last edited by Skladfin; August 15th, 2007 at 16:57.. |

Hmmm...the description on WCG says M4 RIS or SIG552, not M4A1. Maybe the RIS has less space than regular M4 handguards.
The Intellect Mini 1400mah fits perfectly in the M4 handguard. I wouldn't say so if I didn't know. I have the batteries and the TM M4A1 right here on my desk. Last edited by Omi-san; August 15th, 2007 at 19:21.. |

I own a TM M4A1 as well. This is where I got my clips:Type ehobby-asia-airsoft into your search engine.Once at site look down the left and click on AEG rifle..scroll through that page.Look for the "M-series", you get 8 100 rounders in a box for $35.00+shippin. Total was under 50 bucks.Never had a problem with them..You will need an ebay account though and took bout 10 days to get them
