Seeking Scope Advice

I was looking for a 3-9x50 cheap scope from ehobbyasia
than i came across a 2x42 aimpoint
it was such a hard decision..
than i came across this:
http://www.opticsplanet.net/barska-h...5-6x42-ir.html
1.5-6x42
seems like perfect.. and its illuminated too.

so before i jump onto this,
do you guys have any advice/info that i should know about??

Seeing your avatar always throws me off, since that's one of mine.

What are you putting the scope on? 2-3x is sufficient for most airsofting functions, anything beyond 4x is typically used for spotting only. If your gun doesn't have too much reach, getting something with magnification might not be necessary.

The Barska looks like a good choice out of the three, because it has good eye relief (important when wearing pb goggles) and you can dial it all the way down to 1.5x power. At the same time, it's got a good size diameter at 42mm.

You're pretty close to the Bass Pro Shop. I'd head up there and have a look. Their Redhead series of optics is reasonably priced, and come in gloss or matte black or silver, plus the rings to match. Depending on your gun I'd probably stick with a red dot, since scopes can be a little over the top for an aeg... Also, if you're running and gunning, trying to aim through a scope can be a hinderance. But I have to agree with saint, the Barska looks mint, has reasonable zoom, and eye relief. And if you don't like it you could always sell it to me.

thx for the comments!
i am modding my CA m4 at the moment to m16 length with tightbore
(plus matching internals, sp110, bla bla..)

and you got pm nova ^^

hmm.. brass pro shop eh?
i am always afraid of physical retailers.. usually i can get the same thing but cheaper online.. unless i really have to try it (clothes, shoes, etc.)
i guess i will take a look after my exams

hmm.. well.. i would try to go to a field game first after i finish my mod
and see how my gun shoots...
but i rather have before hand.

thanks again!

Don't forget to replace the hopup bucking in your CA. Guarder clear is pretty good.
