G&G M14 EBR-L DMR Project
CodeName Sempi's G&G M14 EBR
In this post I will talk a little bit about the gun as it is now, and what I plan on doing to it Recently bought this from a friend used I have been searching for a while for a long version but they are very hard to find was told that only 200 of the Long versions were produced by G&G (not certain on that). Stock the gun outperforms most AEG's and is accurate up to around 200-220 feet, it fires at around 400 FPS is entirely out of metal accept for the cheek rest, pistol grip, shoulder rest, and hand grip in the front. Being full steel it is quite heavy weighting in at around 11lb's (Which is relatively light in the airsoft M14 EBR game, other replica's such as the KART and TM are noticeably heavier.) When I received the gun the first thing I did was open up the gearbox and check out what was up and if anything needed to be changed, everything was in good shape accept for the nozzle being cracked and the motor mount teeth being broken (quite common with G&G/CA M14's apparently) Now the G&G/CA M14 gearbox's are not straight Version 7 gearboxes there more along the lines of a V7 Hybrid seeing as it takes Aug/V2/V3 parts and also a couple that only G&G Makes. If I'm not mistaken the hop-up and bucking are AUG as is the nozzle, the Gears are v2/v3, V3 Spring guide and the rest of the parts are all proprietary to G&G (Cylinder,Cylinder Head,Piston,Piston Head,Tappet Plate) I am planning on ordering a few replacement parts in hopes to boost my range and accuracy by a little more. One thing I would like to do is to get rid of any plastic parts in the gearbox such as the Cylinder Head and Piston Head, there is only one "Upgrade" you can buy for that and its proprietary to G&G (Here). Next I wanted to change the wiring in it to a Low resistance Wire set and am planing on picking up this (Here). Next I need to replace that cracked nozzle so (Here). Also need to change the Anti-Reversal Latch as the spring is a little bit old(Here) And to top that all off I am going to put a Systema M120 Spring into it (Here) For now that is all I am changing in it but in the near future (maybe this summer) I might add a 6.03 TBB to it and a new High Torque motor. Look wise, I am going to be buying myself a Hand Grip for the front as it is a b it front heavy. Going to also give it a nice fresh paint job, I haven't decided on what colors yet but I am thinking along the lines of a dirty tan or possibly a Woodland Digital I'll see when I get there! Looking forward to playing on the field with you guys this summer! Here's a few pics! EDIT: Here's that video I said I would make Stealth (If its not clear enought send me a PM I'll explain it more) http://youtu.be/9EVaD2AuEbE I just found out that it did not record my Audio, ill make a subtitle I guess!

One of my favourite guns in terms of looks. It just has to be painted.
Yes. it is front heavy and a front grip will help. My TM/KA version to give you some idea of how a painted one would look.

hey guys, to provide a bit more info, my g&g socom 16 max uses a standard AEG piston and (and what I think to be standard) piston head, which suggests that those are just standard parts in all the m14 variants. I replaced my piston with a CA steel rack piston and the piston head fit on just fine, my piston from the factory was AoE corrected already, manufactured with one less tooth at the back. Though to be honest, I did not use my calipers to measure the piston head to be absolutely sure of the compatibility.
While I haven't seen an AUG nozzle/cylinder head up close, I'm pretty sure that if it's an aug nozzle, the aug compatible cylinder head will probably work just as well, seeing that the piston head is standard diameter. The nozzle tip on the cylinder head is very long, so I'm not sure if an AUG one is similar or not. The only part that I know to be proprietary for sure is the tappet. Aside from that, since I have the max version, the piston head and cylinder head are the upgraded G&G parts, there's really no need to upgrade them. But if and when I ever have to replace the tappet or nozzle, I might start getting concerned. |

Is this what you're looking for? (G&G M14 disassembly)
http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/lo...hp/t70049.html I know it's not for an EBR...but hopefully it gets you there. It's been a while...but if you've got a TM this isn't going to help you much. |
