VFC Scar fire selector switch issues.

Basically the fire selector switch is not synchronized. For example I can put it on Auto on the left and Safety on the right. I am by no means an experienced gun doc. Is this an easy fix? or a somewhat complicated mech box issue better left to a experienced gun doctor?

At the very least the gear box has to come out of the lower.

It's a bugger to sort out. it took me a good half hour to get it right the first time.
