Type 97B Battery space

I'm looking at 7.4V lipo batteries... would prefer to keep the pistol grip empty if possible and just stick it above.

Dimension: 98mm x 33mm x 16mm
Would this fit?

If not, better suggestions?

TP910-2SJPL2

Thunder Power 910mAh 2-Cell/2S 7.4V ProLite2 (v2)

from cheap battery packs . com,

21$ a pop

They fit in the grip, so you can slid them in and then hook up your battery.

Tankdude : that battery is only 910 mAh. can you really survive a long day of gaming (20-25 mags for example) with that?

How much space is above the pistol grip?

I'd like to keep the tool kit in the grip, plus I'd prefer a higher capacity battery.

The one you mentioned is

71mm x 26mm x 13mm

Easy. I have three of them and I switch out during the day.

I have yet to use more then 300 mah at a time on any battery.

It can fit above the grip no problem, also in front of the grip and in the grip

The problem was connecting the power and switching batteries in the field.

And because I love you guys so much, we made a video.... enjoy

What kind of ROF do you get with a 7.4 lipo? How many BBs per second?

What is the ROF that you get with that? It must be way high up there...

didn't crono its ROF, but it surely shoots much higher than my other AEG though, I 've been using lipo on it over a year and the internal are still in great shape

If I had to guess on 2 cell, about 750-800 rpm, with the stock spring.

Since I have some lipo users on this thread I might as well ask my question about them here (never used them).

I would be buying this charger : http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...od_id=DTXP4230

I heard you need a balancer or something for lipo. How do I know if this charger acts as a balancer?

Get an Imax B6D It's cheaper and better (so I've heard from RC guys) than the Onyx chargers
