Soft melee weapons?
So I was talking to Janus about this earlier today, but has anyone used/though about using a soft melee weapon?
YouTube - Airsoft GI - CQB Skirmish with Echo 1 and Airsoft GI at Tac City Airsoft At 2:26 you can see a guy using a gas glock and a nerf axe. This is awesome, but is it frowned upon here? I know there's a minimum range for the airsoft weapons, but would it be useful to have something like this as part of your kit? Just theorizing Barbarian |

there are cold steel training knives which are used for the same purpose.
getting close enough to a enemy player to get a "knife kill" is so rare that most people dont carry them. much less want to carry a sword to take up room on their person |

Well I've been to games where we used rubber knifes instead of Mercy.
This is always fun. Or you can do what I did one game and waited inside a doorway when the guy came threw with his knife grab it flip it around and stand him in the chest with it :P |

Many players use rubber training knives. If you want to use a foam nerf weapon though, be my guest lol Paint it black maybe though or something that doesn't look too childish.
I have also seem objects covered in heavy rubber, like broken glass |

Haha pmc84x, that's awesome. The more I think about it the more I want to carry something silly like that with me. The humiliation factor would be great, having an axe/knife/sword flung at you in a gun game.

You should youtube FP1990. He's a pro on this subject.
All in seriousness. This isn't Call of Duty, if you have a gun, use it. And instead of trying to be badass to lash out someone with a plastic knife just get him with a mercy call. |

Claybank 2010 day 2.
Bagged 18-19ish knife kills in the span of a couple hours. Kill to death ratio was high, but it was totally worth it. Dual cold steel tantos was so much fun that day. Ahhh Melville February 2008, the pink 8 inch doc Johnson special that I bought Amos from my sex store.
