Full metal springer shotgun

Are there airsoft shotguns that exist with all these specs:
-Full metal
-Multi-shot
-spring powered

The closest I can find is a full metal single shot gun.

There's no airsoft shotguns that fit your specs perfectly but the closest two would be the TM Benelli M3(Not full metal it's plastic,Tri-shot,spring) or the Marushin M500 Mossberg(Full metal,8mm Tri-shot or even better 6mm 5 shot, Gas not spring) IMO Mossberg wins hands down.

Full metal and springer don't exist in the same sentance, you can't get. Either you get a full metal gas shotgun, or you get a full plastic springer shotgun. And no upgrade bodies are available for springer shotguns.

I have an M3, its kinda half metal. The barrel is metal, and some of the receiver internally, but the receiver externals are all plastic.

you just gave me an idea: would it be possible to modify an old RS shotgun to make it airsoft?

Sure you can, it's easy! Just empty the powder and shot from shells, put the wad back in, load it with BBs and crimp it closed again. The primer should have enough power to push the BBs out at a reasonable velocity. Lol

The Maruzen CA870 is full metal and spring powered, however, it's only single shot.

in a perfect world this may be a good idea, until you load 00 buckshot by accident and remove someones head..

apart from that, i'm sure that the law will not differentiate between this and a real firearm..

'wait, it _is_ a firearm..!'

exactly.

i pray that no-one ever tries this idea.

why? I don't get it

I've seen other RS weapons made airsoft -
are you talking personnal safety or legalities ?

I was thinking of using just the metal body and possibly the stock and grips.

Actually, the primer alone ain't sufficient to push out the whole lot (BBs + wad) out of the barrel. (20" Rem 870 in my case) You'll require at least 1.5 grain of quick powder ( I"ve been using Titegroup), to obtain approximately 300-320 FPS. Very inconsistent results too.

Since the combustion of the powder created very low pressures (compared to a real load), the combustion is incomplete and extremely dirty. The Shotgun fouls up really quickly.

Been there, tried it : bad idea.
