6.04mm or 6.03mm
I've heard a large amount of opinions about tight bore barrels. At this point i cannot choose so i figured it would be best to ask the experts.
I've purchased some internals for the gun already. I have a systema gear box some TM internals mixed in as well. It shoots 353, to 357 fps and very quick to. I've been considering a tight bore and now I’m purchasing one. My only issue is the controversy over witch is better 6.03, or 6.04. I want your thoughts if you have a tight bore and what type you use.

both will provide virtually identical performance. that being said, DONT get systema barrels. from my experience, they have sucked. yes, they are an improvment over stock barrels, but stick with good brands, like Prometheus, PDI, Madbull and KM. Here is a breakdown:
PDI: Makes 6.05 and 6.01 (get the .05 for accuracy and the .01 for fps increase). personally, i would avoid these barrels just cause they are really pricey and you can get another barrel from another company that will perform just as well if not better. Madbull: (6.03)relatively new to the barrel scene, but are tried and true. Most of the people i hear talk about them like them. Prometheus: (6.03) For the vets at my field, this is the bread and butter of airsoft accuracy. If you buy one of these, rest assured that you are getting the best performance and accuracy for your gun KM: (6.04) Ive mostly seen this company make pistol barrels. They also make AEG inner barrels. I just bought one for my Tanaka Kar98k. The reviews i have read for them have been positive. From what i recall, they are solid performers with accuracy compared to Prometheus barrels. IMHO, i get these when i cant find a prometheus barrel for my gun. case and point, my Tanaka Kar98k now has one of these (once it is installed that is ) hope that helps! |

For information and reviews on tightbore barrels see:
http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forum...owtopic=146196 http://www.madbullairsoft.com/images...l%20Report.pdf Translate out of Google: http://www.6millimeter.info/joomla/i...=150&Itemid=42 And: http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/Pr...1-t124688.html http://www.airsoftretreat.com/forums...?topic=56248.0 The German guy says Madbull and Prometheus are the best, TCF says EdGI is the best. I use Prometheus and Madbull barrels and have gotten excellent results with them. If you were to buy any of the top brands, Prometheus, Madbull, PDI, Systema, CA or EdGI they would all shoot very close to one another.

For general applciations, Prometheus 6.03s probably offer the best performance for the price. That's what I've been buying now, whenever I can.
KM 6.04s also offer good performance. Madbull's seem interesting, but note that it's coated and you'll run into problems if you try to cut it down. Since 4/6 of my AEG barrels are cut to custom lengths, I don't use them as much (I have one for a normal length M4) Systema wasn't particularly impressive.
