Uh... Why? Even without modifications, you can still fit an 8.4V 1100mAh NiMH battery.

Because a 7.4v 1000mah lipo can pull a spring at a similar rate as a 8.4v large battery.

EDIT: Higher discharge rate, far superior to 9.6v minis, with similar/better ROF and power. Smaller than a 8.4v mini.

Last I checked, high discharge Lipos were still pretty damn expensive, not to mention the need to get an entirely different charging setup. Even a 30C pack won't be able to push as much current as a good 2/3A NiMH cell. You can get an 8.4V 1500mAh mini pack for $23... what about a 30C Lipo?

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...0C_Lipoly_Pack

16.60 + shipping.

Lipo's have a lot of myths behind them.

You don't need 30C to push m120's, 11.1v 20C can push a M120 (400FPS, m4 length barrel) at 20-25 bbs per second and it's smaller than an 8.4v mini NIMH pack.

EDIT: I would like to state, for the record, that my battery knowledge comes from theory discussed on many airsoft/rcCar/rcPlane websites. I have no experience with LiPo batteries yet. I have ordered 2 11.1v 1600 mah lipo's from hobbycity, and they are waiting for me at my apartment for when I arrive on the 28th. I can give much better details then.

I was always talking about how superior NiMH batteries are to NiCad, and dispelling myths about them that sustain to this day... I worry I'm becoming a hypocrite by bringing up old information about Lipos. The last time I personally checked Lipo prices was only a few months ago, and I couldn't find any high performance packs that would cost you less than a hundred bucks. The industry really seems to be taking big leaps and bounds towards production efficiency.

What can I say, you may still convince me that Lipos are the way to go =P

I'm trying to convince myself too. Which is why I bought a few.

I really can't wait to get back to Toronto to test them out.

Judging from the videos I've seen though... They are absolutely awesome.

Google "KWA Lipo" and you'll see a stream of video's of 13 year olds playing with 30 bb per second guns. The trigger response looks insane.

Personally I don't see how the P90 could get uglier.

I'll agree that it does have an aquired taste that can either way for most, but I like them.

I wouldn't know really, I've played one CQB game ever. I hate it compared to outdoors.
