Hatch Operator Gloves
Hey I was interested in getting some hatch operator gloves, I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for Canadian retailers that sell & ship for a decent price. Cheapest I have found so far is $70.00, just wondering if this is what I should expect to pay.
Cheers, |

That's about average.
Not bad gloves, but the QC on them sucks. I've had some pairs (and seen others) where the stitching fails in the fingers almost immediately. |

There's much better out there. Wiley X, and Oakleys are alot nicer in terms of build quality. Though, I picked up some Hatch Neoprene shooting gloves, and they've held together quite well... So who knows what's up with that Mfg. . |

Agree with Morbius. I really like the feel of my hatch gloves, but the stitching at the base of the thumb on one of my gloves came apart within an hour of my first time playing with them.

Get 3 pairs on eHobbyAsia on ebay. They're extremely cheap (about 10$) and if they get torn apart you can just use a second pair.

Hatch
I had a pair that lasted nearly 2 years of regular use, easily 6 hours of sweaty wear a week..
They finaly gave up about 2 months ago.... pretty much fell apart.. but I felt I got good use out of them now I'm running mechanics gloves... and they are just as good and a fraction of the cost.

We dropped the Hatch line due to poor quality.

Which is too bad, because if you got a good pair they're pretty decent.

Dexterity is good. Hellstorm is not any better (Went from Made in USA to Made in Vietnam to Made in China...) than Hatch in terms of QC IMHO.
My personnal exp. with commercial gloves: Hellstorm Fury - 3 years of use/abuse Still holding up well, great feel to them Hatch Operator - They lived 1 year of regular use, stiching failed Hatch Neoprene Shooting gloves - Held up pretty well for 1 year, then my cat took a pee on it... Hellstorm SOLAG - Bought 2-3 months ago, a stitching in palm failed at 1st use, stitching on top of a finger failed 3rd use, no other issues. Great comfort tho... Hatch Winter Specialist - As of now, perfect mid-cold gloves.

Hatches are not bad, but they absolutely hate being exposed to water for long periods of time. eg: snow or the washing machine.
