TM G36C mag receiver nut missing
I was just externally cleaning my TM G36C and the bolt # GC-6 (for the mag receiver cover, or whatever that part is called) fell out. I checked the ground and gun case for the associated nut, but it's nowhere to be found, so it must've fallen out in the field, and therefore will never see it again.
So, I'm hoping can tell me what exactly it looks like, because there's no screw hole on the other side of the bolt, meaning that the nut has to have a hex head or something like that. I'm looking for help for a temporary substitute from Canadian Tire/Home Depot, or if someone has one lying around that they could send me post-haste, as I was hoping to use my gun again this weekend. Obviously I have money/beer/whatever for whoever can help me out with an actual replacement. Thanks in advance. |

Alright,
I made a nut with my Dremel and a regular 8/32 nut. However, it appears that the bolt itself is stripped and needs to be replaced. So, I'm shopping for a replacement part but am having a tough time of it. Does anyone know where the part can be purchased, without having to get it from TM directly? |

Thanks for the quick reply. UN Company does not have the part I need, however.

I'm in the same boat. I tored the head off my body pin, although there's still enough left to lock the magwell in place. AFAICT, no after factory version of that body pin exists. Only TM made them and most places are out of stock. I've put up a wanted ad, but no one has approached me so far and I don't think we'll get any G36 butcher in the near future. I'm beginning to wonder about all those people offering to CNC things and if they can copy the pin and nut.

I just PM'd him, but the magwell and pin are SPF, so we'll see what came of it.
