m24 steel outer barrel.
Well I have had my ca m24 for a good 3months now and I am just waiting till I get a bit more money so I can order all my pdi stuff and upgraded the rifle to its maximum potential in one shot. The one thing I hate though is that this about the only sniper rifle that doesn’t offer aftermarket outer barrel/receiver. I know a lot of people just get it helicoiled. I am good at doing work on airsoft guns but I don't think I am experienced enough to do that kind of metal work. So I though of something. What if you got a new steel barrel cnc machined to the exact specs of the original. Anyone with experience with the m24 who see's any flaws with this by all means point it out. It seems like a feasible task and I really don’t care about the added weight.

Putting in Heli-coils is retardedly easy, as long as you have access to the right thread taps for what you are putting in.
Seriously, it's easy enough a noob can do a perfect job if someone who has installed a half dozen before is giving guidance. It isn't rocket surgery after all........ |
