Yeah, we do what we call APSCA shoots, but it's nothing like out there. And no one really seems to take it seriously out here. I've won the last 5 that I have been to. It's still fun to go, but I want a challenge.

Here is my latest open pistol build. This is the result of some hard learned lessons about open guns and buying used open guns. This is the end result of buying one open pistol that ended up being a parts gun that helped build this one complete. It does not have all the bells and whistles of a complete custom like a lower frame, custom controls, etc. However I think it turned out real nice, was resonable in price to build, shoots very accurate and reliable.

   New project....main parts are mostly here....still need a base gun I think, or maybe I might try to scratch build this. If ProG4 or someone comes out with a block cut 4.3 kit though I may sell this 5.1 kit....I still want to build a 4.3 if I can... |

These are awesome. One thing I'd like to see more of, though, is race guns that aren't built on 1911 frames. I know 1911s are awesome, and that the 1911 platform is easy as hell to modify, but as much as I hate Glocks, some of the custom ones look damn nice. Most specifically, the Tier One package from Salient Arms International. Or the Salient M&P models, they're pretty good-looking as well.

    Changed the front sight, the original ProG4 one is too low, the gun is shooting high even at the maximum compensation that rear sight can adjust to.... |
