I don't understand you. How does it defeat the purpose if the gun is less than 2 feet long? I'm not adding width because the peq only comes out as far as the double mags. With the fullstock it would be 3 feet long. About the same as most small m4s. My gun fits places and moves around things easier than anything with a solid stock bumping around and catching on stuff. It's like having a very large pistol that does 390 fps accurately.

So in looking the past few days i got a few good offers i think.
1-JG SD5 for 300.can in box with battery and all. Shooting at 360fps no mods and plastic body. 2- JG SD5 or SD6 both have deans and are moded a bit the SD6 is 450.can no battery and shoots just under 400fps, with a scope and mags and the SD5 is 500.can and has more mods and shoots 400fps. I have mags, mag clamps, sling, buying a scope and all the other stuff i need but the gun and battery...what do you guys think is the extra FPS is worth it. And if i wanna play inside how easy is it to change?

FPS means dick all, especially if the internals haven't been upgraded to support it. You said the guns have "more mods done to them".. what exactly does that mean?

Frankly, if you want to use it as an indoor/outdoor, mod it to 340-ish and be done with it. 340 is fine for outdoor use, especially on an SMG.

I'm 6 feet tall and 210 lbs. To me, a full stock MP5 feels quite small. Even when it had the slither stock, I always had it fully extended because the gun feels to small and uncomfortable otherwise. Never had a problem manoeuvering it in tight spots.
This is what my beast looks like now. I actually want to get rid of the front grip and get a rail system of some sort now. I prefer the look like this, but the addition of rails will make it so much more versatile. It shoots 345-355 consistently with .2, and has stupid, sick range. Last time I gamed it I was using it for counter-sniper ops at 100-ish foot ranges with good accuracy. At Border Wars 2, I demoed it to a group of rather surprised folks by consistently and accurately tagging a 10 inch diameter tree about 125 feet away, something that some of their longer AEGs couldn't do accurately. I love this gun. For me, it's all about Armalites and MP5s.

My MP5 is much more "basic"
Though I do want to put a lighted grip on it like Crunch has on his.

Oh my mistake its the 500$ gun is a TM. I was told it has mods like an new inner barrel thats why the FPS is more. But like you said if thats not a big deal then maybe ill buy the new cheaper one. Would a deans help my ROF by alot or is that not something i should worrie about just yet?
Cheers "TM MP5SD5. $500 with various mags, some hicap some midcap, claw mount for RDS & laser. Deans connector in the stock. Upgraded internals, shooting around 400 FPS."

My MP5 now has a top rail with a see-through riser (so I can still use irons) and I mount either an EOTech 552 replica or my Bushnell holosight on it. That's all I need...

Personally, I'd find out exactly what's been done to it first.

And also, a stock TM V2 shell won't last long at that velocity. Hell, anything over 350 fps is basically a delayed death sentence for a TM V2...

I think once you take a marui apart and add power, it becomes no more reliable than any other upgraded gun. My marui gave me more problems than my jg once it was juiced up.
Their manufacturing tolerances are great and they're obviously very innovative but there is nothing special about them except price.

Maybe.. I find most of the time Marui bodies tend to be better too. Though like you said if most of the mechbox has been changed there probably isn't too much difference.

Marui externals are always top notch. Cosmetically, they're awesome. And as long as you don't fuck with the internals, the gun SHOULD last forever (although I've had no luck with stock TM). The mechbox shell is a weak alloy, and the gears are pot metal. They're fine for the stock 280 fps TM make their guns at. But with higher tension springs or a larger battery, those gears won't last long either.
Personally, I wouldn't waste my money on a TM. I'd prefer go JG as an upgrade platform. Its internals are much more durable for the most part. And if I wanted to spend the cash for TM, I'd just get a CA instead and have a MUCH better gun all around for the same money.

Yea, that I'll agree with. The only reason I'd go TM over CA is if CA didn't make the model I wanted.

I'd still get CA and then make it into the model I wanted...
