No chance of putting them in an AEG body. Ad they are a lot different then the 98 internals that everyone says they are, basic function yes, but that's where the similarities end.. the is a unique design..

Got mine yesterday. Spent today putting 10 mags through it. Played around with fps and rps. Feels really solid. Kicks nicely. Opened it up to see what its all about. Sturdy build for sure. I don't forsee many things breaking in this gun. The 1 year warrenty is very nice too. Plus tippmann has always had amazing customer service should any issues surface.

One thing to note on using the 12 grams. Should you be heavy on the trigger and you do a mag switch when its empty and the 12 gram is nice and frozen. It holds just enough in it to give ya a bit of a poof a second after the mags been removed. Wasnt expecting it so it gave me a bit of a shock

Other then that im super impressed with this thing

Where can we get a hold of one of these? Are they finally selling them at retail stores?

Got mine today. The kick was indeed powerful. Good weight, not heavy at all.

The Tippmanna M4 is in a way a proprietary airsoft M4 packaged with a paintball blow back engine.

The ones I did see on YouTube, shows a funny looking bolt that cycles only 1/2". The picatinny hand guard made of plastic.

"Booligan" also confirmed that the buffer tube is close to mil spec but not true mil spec. The pistol grip and outer barrel is also proprietary as well.

It also runs on unregulated 800psi with CO2, whereas Polarstar and Wolverine can go below 60psi on regulated HPA.

1.It's a 98 converted to airsoft which is great for reliability.
2.$500.00 looks like what the retail price will be in Canada plus airline plus tank which puts it in the same price range as a P* or Wolverine but, with way less adjustability.
3.C02 mags are a big pain in the ass because if you need to unjam or take a mag out the c02 is done and you need to put another one in so plan to carry a ton of c02 with you.
4.Needs upgrades in my opinion on the hopup, barrel right out of the box because I had a hell of a time getting a consistent bb grouping. The hopup sucks.
5.Because you can't regulate the psi like the P* you are not going to get as many shots out of this gun as other systems.
6. It is a very solid feeling gun and there is lots of room for all the useless junk guys like to hang off their rails.
In the end in my opinion if you are going to spend this much you are way better off going with a P* or Wolverine. If you don't care about getting the best performance out of the gun and want a gas system then this is the gun for you.
I can say one of these will never end up in my collection for the price and I think there are going to be other problems once guys get them on the field.
That's good to know, the 98 are bullet proof! I don't think this can be compared to P*.

I however, think, this can be compared with Daytona Guns, and as I see it now, it seems more superior. Mainly due to the fact you can use AEG inner/hopup, unlike the DG where you had to use certain bodies, and specific rubbers. (M4 vs M4), though DG seems to kick harder, haven't shot a Tippmann yet so can't confirm.

Just to confirm, this can use both C02 and HPA? You also only need a simple regulator I'm assuming, since you can adjust the pressure inside the gun.

I have my eyes set on this. :P.

No you cannot, you need to change the setup in the grip but also in the magwell that pin the release the co2 cartridge.

Sorry, what I meant was C02 Tanks (20oz+). I know they accept HPA tanks.

Yep, you can run them off the CO2 tanks, Booligan did it for his overview vid and seemed to work fine.

The 12 gr co2 magazines arent quite 80 shots. You might get a good 65 consistent shots and then they start to tail off in power. This is what i found, shooting my Tippmann. Also the blowback kick is quite good. Compared to my WE Dragunov GBB. Im quite happy with it

I'm curious as to how many shots you can get with it running a 13/3000 hpa tank, all the larger lined tanks seem a bit too bulky for my tastes.

A GBBR has about 100+ psi recock pressure from propane, whereas the Tippmann M4 recocks at 800psi.

I have myn converted to hpa with a 13/3000 tank. I wanted low profile low weight option so i purchased 2 of the small tanks. I havent tested an amount for the tank but im told between 800-1000 shots .

Again with the co2 mags with high rof does not work very well. It sometimes will not work at all. I think it depends on the amount of pressure as u get near the end of a co2 cartridge. Once u get to the 40-50 round spot...full auto tends to shut itself down. Especially with long bursts......cool down period for sure
