To the OP:
You really need a scope with at least 3X or LOWER magnification on its lowest setting. In airsoft we rarely engage at further then real-life CQB distances, so a broad field of view and the ability to engage quickly is of the most importance. So get a real POSP scope, they will hold their value very well and they actually aren't a bad optic. For your use any one of the 2-6x variables would work really well. -Grant |

but X24 is such a pathetic small objective lens...
I really need to try out a real one... The shitty clone one I have is at an angle that makes it damn near impossible for a left handed shooter to use it comfortably. |

That "western" scope is mounted REALLY high. Probably don't want something like that, close to the bore as possible.

Just an update to this old thread, I ended up getting a;"POSP 6x42 D PRO w/ Black Finish, Independent Focus, US MilDot Rangefinder Rifle Scope" and I am very happy with it.
It's probably a bit of over kill for an airsoft gun, but I wanted something for target shooting, and this scope definately does that. Later Gordo

Thanks dude.
I bought the bipod online, ebay I think. It is called a "Tiger Bipod", I believe that it was designed specifically for the Dragunov SVD. They aren't cheap, but if you want your SVD to look authentic, you got to get one. Gordo

Dragunov SVD - Tiger Bipod
Here is a link to a guy that sells them on ebay; http://cgi.ebay.com/SVD-7-62-sniper-...item20b627d70c
I got to look through my records to see where I got mine. I am pretty sure I got mine for a lot less than this guy is selling them for. Gordo
