Absolutely 100% legitimate PTS handguards, with correct packaging and everything, can be ordered from Hong Kong for 20 bucks a piece. I know because I have one and have compared it against "real" PTS handguards -- which by the way come labelled as legit PTS with guns also from Hong Kong (G&P). There is absolutely no difference:
- not in the weight, - not in the seams, - not in the look/texture of the plastic, - not in the color, - not in the logos/markings, - not in the fit, - not in the bendyness, - not in the sound it makes when you knock on it, - not even the smell of the plastic There's nothing magical about high-strength plastic pressed into moulds and shipped in cardboard boxes. The more magical we think these things are, the more local retailers will apply 1000% markups on them. These are just simple pieces of plastic, think about all the other plastic things that are much larger and more complex that also cost 20 bucks or less and whose ""authenticity"" is not in question. If a self-styled expert can find me at a game and guess which of the two PTS handguards I have in my team is the one that came to my doorstep with free shipping for $19.99, I'll pay for their game, buy them a bag of BBs and a case of beer. |

BTW, on the topic of the vote in the thread, "hot". We all start customizing somewhere, and you can do a lot worse than a PTS handguard, which I think is just great, and super comfortable.

the reason i say the price seems really low is because nowhere else has genuine magpul stuff for usually less then 60$ or more. the issue is more about fit for me, i dont like any play in my gun and alot of the base parts are real steel so i dont want to pick up some knock off that hasnt been made to spec and be some flimsy puddle of piss. you know what they say about getting what you pay for.

the only play i have in my gun now is up at the front sight.. because of ics' stupid 3pc outer barrel and because i only have one pin holding the sight lol the handguard is solid. stock ics was pretty wobbly

isnt magpul the RS company and magpul pts their "professional training and simulation" division? i thought magpul pts was basically the real deal unless you went out and bought actual ar-15 parts.
as far as my handguards go, there is no difference between my set of magpul pts and the set that the store by my place is selling for $50. i would assume this would be the case with the ctr stock as well |

All stuff that is on airsoftpartshop is clone stuff, that's for sure... And are probaby the very same as Huang and other stores...
PTS division has their factories in china (that's what i've been told though) |
