I took the lower shield off my TM clone google/faceshield (with a fan) and wore the goggles with the mesh half mask (with the ear protection). The mesh mask is bendable, so I was able to bend it to get a perfect seal against the goggles. I am still able to use my Red Dot sight (Eotech 552 clone). I don't know if I would be able to use iron sights.

So, I now have a full face mask with ear protection. Now to see how it works outside on Saturday (Frozen Sniper 2 in Petawawa).

ESS goggles accept Rx inserts.

while i don't care for the look of the cross stitch canvas, i certainly admire your ingenuity and DIY attitude! Kudos to you for that.

Try two layers? and that stuff comes in black...might improve the look. *shrug* just a thought

You could always buy mesh wire and do it too instead of plastic....

Quote:
As per your request we can offer the following: Brass woven wire mesh 6 x 6 mesh x .035" dia wire 36" wide material by a minimum of 12" = 3 sf @$11.56/sf = $34.68 Available from stock, plus taxes and FOB Ferrier Wire.
I got that to try and make a mesh mask when brass guard was first released, it would dent in quite a bit at point blank from 380 fps though.... 2 layers meant it didn't dent in at all, but no major denting at 10 feet with 1 layer...

If you want a stronger one, just buy the steel mesh for only a couple bucks more, although harder to cut and to shape

I went to Ferrier Wire in Toronto...

Looks like this:
