Actually called a UID.

Unique Identification Number

It gives Model, Part and Serial numbers in a single scan

TALIBANMILAN,
Here are two photos from the series for your review, plus a bonus pic showing a rack of Colt carbines. As you can see, the H&K guns are usually marked on the right (R) side of the sheet metal receiver above the R fork/channel. While I'm not an expert on the Navy version of the MP5SD, it is interesting to note that there are a few different variants pictured and I believe we're also seeing a few different generations of the so-called 'Large Suppressor', as originally designed by Qual-A-Tec. There is a great deal of history in these rooms.

Thanks and credit for the photos is given to SMGLee, who had the good fortune to be invited to Coronado.

Awesome photos whiskey! Thanks so much!

I remember seeing these way way back - I have them saved somewhere deep in my collection of photos

Thanks again for posting them up!

edit: that painted MP5 looks bad-ass (in the bottom right corner of the first photos), but I think I am going to leave my MP5SD all black

TALIBANMILAN,
Glad to help. Besides the paint, you may recall the MP5SD you reference is a little different than the others in that it has an aftermarket railed handguard attached, which appears to be the Brügger & Thomet Model: BT21343.

I'm actually going to try to replicate a modern SEAL modified MP5SD pictured in this thread:

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=117653

I will post up some pics once it is together soon and take some details of the sticker I applied to the SD today

Thanks again W4!

Nice hose clamp rail attachment. How well does it hold?

Not to de-rail the thread topic, but it holds amazingly well.

I reinforced the M4 RIS with a screw for added strength.

Any high res pics of those datamatrix? I want to scan them to see if they encode real data or not.

I have the software to make custom one. I just want to see if the data they are supposed to encode actually come up when scanned with a datamatrix reader.
I tried to scan your pics, but the angle of and Depth of field of the picture was not good enough for the reader.
