Silicone Gel

I was looking at mechbox.com and he always lubricates the cylinder with silicone gel, my question is where can i get this? Ive checked Part Source and the local hobby shop, but came up with nothing.

You can use silicone oil, or get something like the G&P grease kit.

Be careful what you buy, some of it might harden. We use a silicon gel at work that we use as a removeable epoxy that is non-conductive/non-corroding. We also have silicon lube which I have no idea what it's stocked for other than to fool the Instrumentation Department. Lol, in your case, if it smells like white vinegar, avoid it, if it doesn't............. I can't say. Lol, never used gell in any gun I've worked on, only silly oil or grease.

I have been steered towards using shock oil (20 wt) and it's awesome. GBB's and AEG's no issues. 100% silicone but thicker than the stuff you get with your AI adaptor.

I use 20 to 30 weight, local RC/Hobby shop, ask for RC shock oil, comes in various weights (heavier is better) and costs maybe $4-7 for a bottle that'll last you a long time.

stalker hit it on the button. I got mine from someone who added it to a sale for free but any RC hobby shop will have it.

Is why my Inbox gets raped daily buddy! Hehe, I've dleat with some pretty fucked up gun problems on my own, others seem easy as anything to toss the answer out. And now I'd rather pound some keys to help solve the problem rather than deal iwth it myself. Retirement is good! More time for women and booze.

Thank you

Thanks you guys for all the replies, I do remember that the hobby shop had silicone shock oil. It was pretty thick, but not gel so i will swing down in the morning and get some.
Thanks again.

Goto Home depot and in the plumbing section they have 100% pure silicon gel. It LOOKS like vaseline, but it's not. Comes in either huge 1L tubs down to small containers.
