APS2a2 project

After I got my hands on a tanaka M40, the search was on to find a platform that was solid, consistant and easy to upgrade and after reading a few reviews I purchased a used APS-2 from Slick. the gun was great...but not totally my style, so it came that I wanted....no....needed to find a way to make this rifle more current.
as some of you know, the APS-2 is lightly based on the Steyr SSG 69 rifle the rifle is so well built that it came in second when the U.S. army was looking for a new sniper platform but lost to the remington 700 wich after modification turned into what we now know as the M24.
After looking online, I got my heart set on a carrot millitary stock and soon purchased one from WGC and within only 4 days it as well as a new G&P M3 scope (wich is a BIG SOB) and a set of King Arms Mil-Spec Steel Tactical Rings, the project was on
one thing I did need was a bipod, I dont know why its just a fad I guess since all the shooting I've done with my M40 was freehand or resting on my pack. I soon ordered a Haris L1A2 as well as an A2 adaptor.
after my money ran out for the project I was left with something that in my opinion looks somewhat modern.

sorry for the bad pics and worse typing, its 3 am and I'm jacked on coffee
more to follow as I get new parts for the bugger.

found a better pic....mind you I havent installed the new longer inerbarrel and the silencer that will cover it.
here it is next to my M40

Edit: I'm also planning on revamping the M40's pain job as well as get a new scope for it.
