problems whit mp5 mags in mp5k
ok i recieved my marui mp5k pdw today, and i totaly love it after some testing whit the standard mag, i decided to try my hi cap mp5 mag in it..and i was suprised but it fitted in smooth...then i thought like wow, now i can spray 200 round all around hehe...but after a little spinning on the wheel thingy under the mag i tried..noting...more spinning...nothing...turned it upside down...then it worked...is it something wrong whit the mag or is it just not supposed to fit..btw it worked allright when i filled it totally...first time i only added like 100 bullets in it, then it just wouldnt work...but still only like every third shot actually fires a bullet...anyone know why?
and the standard mag works fine, but when there is 3 bullets left, it stops fireing..anyone know why? i can only shoot them if i turn it upside down... hoping for answer PS* sorry for sucky english=/ *edit* i might buy a standard 50 shot mag for mp5 if i dont need to spin the wheel each time i shoot:P |

You need to learn how to wind the spring on the hicap magazine, because I dont think you do it right.
You have to wind it up for a long time until it starts to 'skip'. You will know because it's really obvious. After several shots, you need to wind it up again. That too is normal. There are always 3 rounds left in the loading tube when the magazine is empty, that is normal. |

I would buy some G&P MP5 Midcaps. More ammo capacity than lo-caps but no winding.

A very big + for the G&P Midcaps, they are amazing. If you buy new ones, store them for about 5 days fully loaded so the spring breaks in a bit.
Also a drop or two of Silicone oil, available from Airsoft Innovations or most airsoft retailers. Helps lube up the internal feeding ramp so the bb's just slide right through into your gun. Enjoy your new toy. |

MP5 hicap mags, once wound, will only spit out about 40rds until it starts dry firing, then you have to wind it again. And 3-4 BBs falling out of the magwell when mag is removed is normal for every gun. Best thing to do, load it with as many as you can into it, wind it til it starts clicking, shoot some bursts off, when you get a chance to wind, do it to top it off. Don't wait til no more BBs coming out til you wind it, your bumm will get owned and people will laugh at you. (j/k, of course, I don't know the type of people you play with! Lol)

The hicaps are not crap, this is how they work normally. You just dont know how they are supposed to work. It's not a defect.
If you have problems with them, use normal or mid-cap mags. |
