It's the ICS picatinny rail. To install it, you need to remove the dovetail rail.

Let me know about the adapter that redwolf includes. If they're talking about the piece in the last three pictures, that's the G&G/Army adapter.

BTW, for WE L85 owners, in the installation instructions from Madbull, they mention that the rail woobled on all the WE L85 they tested.

Good to know as I found out Ares does have a rail similar to the ICS version. Also the ICS/WE version adapter should be out later this month or early next month as I contacted Airsoftcanadaparts.ca in regards to the adapter. I wonder if I should order the adapter (ICS version) for the Star/Ares L85 on top of ordering the rail system as well. Hmm seems I should just in-case.

Just got my RAS for my ICS L85 in from Red Wolf. Their website claims it includes the adapter for ICS/WE, but I'm nearly certain it doesn't (My L85 is at my gun doc's house at the moment so can't really test... but the instructions show a different shaped after for the ICS/WE).

The piece that you need is the part that attaches to the upper receiver, that the handguard clicks into when you put it on the gun. If you guys want, I can scan a picture of the instructions to show you what I mean.

I'm also going to be emailing RedWolf to find out what the hell's going on. Cause their website very clearly states:

"A converter is included to fit this rail onto a WE and ICS L85 / SA80s."

Anyways, will let all of you with ICS and WE L85's know what I find out...

Yep. It's not like I'm gonna send it back. Just put it on the shelf till I can get the proper adapter. It could be the adapter I have is the right part, I won't know till I get my L85 (hopefully this week), but it doesn't seem like it :-(

... I went to send RedWolf an email about this, and wanted to copy the text on their page that said "includes an adapter for WE/ICS" but in the last few days, they've changed it. Now it says "NOTE: This conversion kit is not compatible with the ARES L85 / WE and ICS L85 / SA80s series AEGs." fantastic. That's not what it said a week ago when I ordered it.

Sigh. Guess it'll sit on my shelf till the adapter is released. The instructions actually show tehe piece needed, just can't get it anywhere. Check it out:

Well I be damn, that part does looks like it screws into the Ares /Star L85 as the 2 screws are roughly in the same area. So that said the WE /ICS adapter should work in theory. Interesting.
