Did you charge the battery? Because they don't sell it to you with a charge on it
Furthermore, the wires WILL get hot as you shoot. Reason being the stock wires are crap, so the added resistance causes them to build heat quickly. But if they're getting hot without cycling the gun, you likely have a short in the wiring or a defective motor. That would cause your battery to drain extremely quickly and heat up the wires. |

If the wires are getting hot without you firing the gun, STOP plugging in the battery. You're doing more damage each time you try firing the gun. Either try a different battery or take the gun to a gun doctor or someone that knows their way around an AEG. It does sound like you either have a short or the switch assembly could be damaged.
