Info on non-hop up barrel for tm
Hi,
I've trying to build a new slide for a tm hi cappa. I've learned hop ups are imposible to find .... (if anyone knows where to buy one let me know!!!) I've seen the 9 ball non-hop up parts and wonder how this works. Can this be placed in a normal hi capa slide or is a specific unit that accepts this part. Do they work. Really I guess I wonder if this is a way of building a slide, without the hop up unit. Cheers, ken |

the nineball non hopup is just a new barrel and rubber, you still need the TM hopup chamber

Regardless of the barrel and hop up you use, you'll still need to install them to the hop up chamber, which is then secured by the slide stop. I have no experience with the 9Ball non-hop up barrel setup, but I'm curious as to how it works. Perhaps the hop up has full contact with the BB long its entire circumference? Otherwise I imagine the BB would just roll out when chambered, as I've experienced with the dial arm removed.

its just a rubber tube with stiff Orings at the front holding the BB in the chamber

Correct. The amount of tension applied to the BB around it's circumference can also be adjusted by screwing the retainer on/off the inner barrel.
