Wiring Question
I've opened up a G&G Gr-16 carbine and run into a problem. The gun has a nun-chuck handguard battery therefore the wires both feed through the mechbox from the same side and one wire is forced to cross in the path of the pinion gear in order to enter the pistol grip. This was obviously the stock setup though I never made note of exactly how the wire was run across. In this position, not only is the wire subject to direct wear by the pinion gear but it gets in the way of proper motor adjustment (the motor gets caught on the wire and cannot be properly adjusted up or down). I tried re-routing the wire through the same hole as the other wire but this clogs the pistol grip on one side and doesn't allow for proper adjustment either. Any ideas as to the stock route of the wire or what I can do to prevent the wire from coming into contact with the pinion gear? I know this sounds simple but I'm at a loss right now and can't think of anything.
