Well, the satin-like finish in the pictures looks kind of sharp. I have a Shooters Design Hi-Capa 4.3 Slide with a similar looking finish.
I love my 1911 pistols (all four of them) and I curse the fact that they typically will not fire two full magazines worth of bbs on a single gas fill. I usually load my magazines to 20 rounds to ensure consistent lock back even with quick successive shots.
I would still consider a Nova kit for the variety (I am particularly fond of the Kimber Warrior kit they have), but reducing my magazine capacity to below 20 rounds to ensure consistent lock back is not very appealing.
Even if your Kimber project was never meant for performance, it is still one gorgeous pistol. If it will be anything like your previous 1911 project in it's end state, I'm sure it will be another excellent piece for your collection.
