I know this isn't the correct section for WW2 stuff but I stumbled across this conversation and would just like to ask one question concerning the above conversation. I have had a reproduction WW2 BDU Canadian jacket made and I had a graphics business reproduce my dad's flashes. There are no rank insignia just the 7RCA, the CANADA, and his signal,s flash. Am I going to be upsetting people by putting these on. I am proud of my dad and the idea was to do it out of respect for him but at the same time I do not want to disrespect anyone else. I do plan on fielding the jacket, but I could do that with out the flashes. All the originals are set up in a display cabinet in my house.
