You would need to figure out the floorplate type and size (this is the trigger guard area)
The ejection port size (long or short action). You will also most likely need to find the barrel diameter at the tip aswell as the chamber.
Real steel stocks have the following options to fit different 700 models.
Long Action or Short Action for the bolt.
Floor Plate inleting and Barrel inleting.
There are so many different trigger/floorplate and barrel types its rediculous.
The cost of a good bolt action stock is around 700cdn and even if you found one that matched close enough you would most likely still have to do some work on it.
