With semi auto, dual wielding doesn't work so well.
With full auto in tight quarters, it's a tremendously effective way to move from room to room if you don't bump into friendlies often. I used to field a pair of WA Prokillers at Sgt. Splatters. With two machine pistols you can cover whatever areas in your advancing direction and the second gun can cover side windows or doors as you move about. It makes it much harder to be caught having a gun pointed in the wrong general direction and a pull of any trigger and a wave about slices up a pie pretty dramatically.
Efficient full auto isn't exactly a new thing in GBBs. The KSC G18c and Mac11s weren't bad on gas and the WA Prokillers were pretty awesome. I'm stoked to see TM finally get into the market with a machine pistol because all of the previous machine pistols had significant engineering deficiencies. TM seems to consistently field well engineered stuff that has gone through a significant degree of lifecycle testing.
