Does that really happen out there? I haven't seen it happen out west here, but then again guys take days of work work at a cost of $800/day to drive to a game in their $80,000 lifted truck. That's very common, and PTWs are very common as well.

People who want to comment on other guy's gear because they are jealous, or their minimum wage job makes them angry at someone who has material-wise more than them need some help.

Would people be angry at you if you wore real Crye multi-cam, or would they be angry if you had a real Elcan? Those are expensive toys, too.

You show up to play with what you have, and if you have is a borrowed Kraken with a handful of BB's because you have no money, that's what you have. If you have to cut down someone else because they have and you don't, get a life, get some ambition, and get a job that pays. It's really not difficult.
