I totally agree. I would never ask someone to hold something for me just like that. When I bought my WA 92FS from Koopa, I wanted the gun really bad, but knew that because of other bills that had come up, I didn't have the cash. So I offered to give him a non-refundable $25 deposit to at least show that I was serious in my intention to buy, and wasn't going to have him hold a gun for me and end up passing other offers for it, then have me back out. Of course, I was dead serious, and it would take extreme circumstances for me to back out on a deal that I promised I would carry through with. But still, it's reassuring for a seller when at least they have that.

And yeah, I would totally agree with the 'wall of shame' idea too so that we could know who the deadbeat sellers and regular flakers are.
