I haven't personally owned a TM thompson, though I have handled one on occasion. It was very solid in my hands - similar to the real m1a1, in my opinion. I'm not familiar with AGM, but I'm also pretty sure it's chinasoft. As with anything else in airsoft, I'd suggest going with the tried and tested TM version. The peace of mind that you'll probably never have to monkey around with the insides anytime soon is worth the difference in price.
For the record, AGM is about 420; TM is 590. If you get verified and kick around the classifieds, you can probably snag a tommy gun for less.
