So right!
My first gun was an MP5SD6 from airzoft.com. I hooked nine sub-c cells to it, and hung them under the foregrip like a triangular grenade launcher. I could empty the mag in about two seconds with it.

After three weeks of intermittent use chasing off crows, it finally got too shrill to listen to. The plastic gearbox and gears still technically functioned, but they were all worn, especially the bevel gear and the piston gear. Their "bushings" were toast, but it was interesting to note that the middle gear's axle/bushing wasn't worn near as much.

So I got to learn right off where most of the stresses are in an AEG geartrain. This has come in handy when modifying things.

As I've moved on to the "MPEG" type guns (I have but two Marui's), I've gotten to see firsthand how much their quality has improved over the past year, and I'm impressed with how some of the "cloned" components are better than the things they copy.

Watching the video, did you expect the gun to still be operational after a minute and a half of constant running? I was surprised myself. A new set of bushings and a piston to replace the chewed original, and this gun is ready for another run. Wow.

I think we have some thanks to give to the Noob's out there, if they hadn't been breaking new cheapies and causing pain with product returns, Chinese clones would still be made from medical waste-quality stuff.

I bought 3 SCAR clones (JLS) when they were $169. Now the price is $139, and the bevel gear and piston gear both have metal bushings stock. A reinforced piston, and a nice .052" spring (~M120) are in there as well!

I was, less than two years ago. The MP5 didn't have to die! But what I learned from tearing it apart (it's components live on in other items) was worth FAR more than the $39 I paid for it. So don't feel bad if you've wrecked your first gun with excess electron flow. In fact, please be a good customer and break products daily, and harp on the mfg when you find faults.

Being a gun manufacturer myself, I secretly enjoy hearing about my product's shortcomings, because every one presents an opportunity to make them better. If you have an AirSharp product and aren't happy, I want to know about it. My "Dirtbike Warranty" policy means the item is your problem if you break it. But come to me with an honest issue in a businesslike manner, and I will do all I can to fix your problem.

-I haven't charged one customer yet for a replacement item, or it's delivery cost!

I should point out that entertaining disaster stories get special attention...
