Personally I've been using an aerosol lube on my GBB's for almost 6 years now. I use CRC Aviation Power Lube with Teflon. I've never had a single broken seal and I've never had corroding on any of the plastics.
The longest that I have been using this product on one GBB has been about 4 years. No ill effects to date.
Perhaps other aerosols eat away at the plastics but, this one sure doesn't seem to.
