Hear my story!
So I bought an assault vest before I went to Tacsit 2 from a guy in Singapore (
barrylyndon28). He makes high-quality reproduction kit (mostly WW2, but some DPM). Anyway, it arrived and when I checked it out, it was next to mint, used PLCE Cordura and the whole nine yards, he even went so far as to put the useless clips on the shoulders and waist.
Now as I usually do, I like to modify things to how I like them, and I asked on MP.net as to what some popular mods were among the squaddies. One was replacing the magazine pouches with PLCE magazine pouches (which I snapped up from SBranson23), another was putting smaller clips on the back to attach the bergen sidepouches (and additionally the Camelbak).
So, after much ado, I've nearly finished the mods!
The only thing I've left is to sew in a proper radio pouch, which is already on order from the good ol' U of K
