i think your problem may have something to do with your contacts on your contact switch inside your gearbox....
when you are attaching the hop-up assembly and there is a connector there right? that connector is attached to the gearbox.... & that is soldered onto your contact on your contact switches..... that's the one getting the strain...after you have assembled your gun look into your mag well there are two wires there.... try moving them or pushing them to 1 side... put the mag back and fire it... you should have your semi back.... that's the one that you need to resolve on how to lessen the strain on the wires...
