Is a shimagh the thing you are wearing in your Avatar?
Is it better/thicker than the thing your buddy with the AK is wearing in your sig? (what is that called? a jihad-bandana :P ?)

Also, to anyone who has tried a balaclava, do they get excessively hot? So could I wear one in summer in CQB comfortably?

I'm definately wanting to go with full facial protection as a mouth guard alone may protect your teeth, but your lips are still exposed (and will be even more so with a mouth guard pushing them outwards). And those will pop like cherries (and require stitches) if you get shot in them, no?
