If it's any indication for you, I got a DragonRed repro helmet from AD and the Emerson MC cover (the one with mesh sides) was too big for it. So I would assume the cover would be fine for a real l/xl helmet, but don't quote me on this.
As for decent covers, I'm no expert, but ur-tactical's covers seem of pretty good quality for the price.
