For the most part. Consider an upgraded gun as speeding up the failure of a mechbox. Such as a mechbox will give after XXXXX amount of rounds, but an upgraded one will increase that failure faster. I assume mechboxes were designed to withstand X amount of impact on the front end, and I assume that a stock mechbox with a stock spring *should* last indefinitely. Increase the force of impact, you increase the age of the mechbox.
