If your MP5 sling is attached properly, it'll hold just fine. It's a very smart design.
The only failure point I've encountered is the sliding clasp, but that's plenty easy enough to replace with any old D-ring.
My Cyma doesn't have any fancy clips on it's pins and it's doing just fine
