it's built into the ARL... there's an extra thing on it that when you turn the selector farther past where it clicks, it will release the ARL... at least that's how it looked when I had it apart. they may have disconnected the functionality because the only way I ever had it release was nudging the thing before I split the gearbox open.

I futz with V2s, V3s and V6s. I could be wrong... but probably, most likely not, as far as I know.
