I personally find tubed dots better for visibility in sunlight, however the tube its self will cover more of your view than the red dot. And if you are playing in woodland areas, you really wont be dealing with all that direct sunlight anyway. It is all personal choice. I have run both tubes and panoramas, and both have pros and cons to discover. Either way, make sure to get a lens cover or one of those rail mounted BB shields.
