naa.. pistons fail... sort of a matter of life for a polymer toothed piston, some folks even with corrected AOE can wreck a plastic piston like that... change it out and move on.. it's a 10$ part.

I futz with V2s, V3s and V6s. I could be wrong... but probably, most likely not, as far as I know.
