The g96 is prety much beyond help. The problem is this. The g96 is the same as an m700. GandG makes all (or most) of the upgrade parts available for the m700. When GandG made this gun they used all the parts they make effectively making a preupgraded gun right down to the accuracy international type stock. The issue is their exicution. It is a solidly built gun and nice to look at but it fires way hot outta the box (and you said yours wasnt so there is alrdy a problem with it) snd there are little to no upgrade parts available as the ones on the market are in the gun from the get go.
It is a nice rifle but without an HPA conversion its not really a gameable one.
Thats just the way it is. Gas isnt really a good platform for a sniper rifle andbjt will leave alot to be desired even after an HPA conversion.
