If you slightly overcharged your LiPo, it exploded.
LiPos cannot be overcharged if you use the right charger.
Seeing as it's an ARES, you probably ran it a long time with the motor too low. In turn that probably mangled the pinion and bevel gear. The bevel is held in place with bearing bushings... if there is sideway stress (as in your motor is not in right), it can damage theses as well.
